bible study course
Who of you is a member of (or knows something about) the Church of God live?

I've seen his TV show "Tomorrow's World" and subscribe to the magazine. Besides, I have completed the course on Bible study by mail and received their brochures, which are free. Some of their doctrines and beliefs have been enlightening and increased my understanding of the biblical text and the prophecies. However, I still do not know much about their religion and if it is, in fact, the true church on earth. Just curious to know if there is a lot of followers in the R & S issues.

Armstrong cult! Stay away! I belonged to a branch for ten years. Teach them racist, sexist, intolerant BS and are contrary to education.

learning hebrew
Learning Hebrew-Q’s inside?

I am an Afghan, so I speak Farsi.

I plan on learning a plethora of languages, including Arabic and Hebrew.

I plan on learning them from Rosetta Stone. I know that if you know Arabic, Hebrew is easy to learn, which is why I want to learn it, because I figured if I learn Arabic, I should put in some more time to learn Hebrew.

Like I mentioned, I know Farsi as well, incase that helps.

So how long will it take for me to learn it if I spend 2-3 hrs/wk?

Salam

depends on how fast you are at learning languages. it will take at least one month but realistically more, for you to really be able to speak it.

i read, write and can speak hebrew but i know someone who was learning from the rosetta stone. he said that it didnt really give him a feel for the language because the photos used for the words are standard pictures. however, rosetta stone does teach the language.

hebrew is very much like arabic, but not really modern hebrew, more the biblical one – many words are similar although the prefixes and suffixes are very different. i know nothing about farsi, so cant help you there.

good luck!

Can anyone phonetically translate the sentence “I want to be your wife” into Hebrew for me?

I know a little bit of Hebrew but I haven’t made it to the point in my classes that I can form this particular sentence and my instructor is out of town. Thanks for your help.
Obviously he asked a different question (for those of you trying to be funny) and this would be how I would answer. :)

learn ancient hebrew
Im looking for a Bible dictionary and or Concordance that give not only the def of a word but also the greek?

and hewbrew.

Does this exsist?

if not is there anything close to this without me having to go out and learn ancient greek and hebrew

Strong’s does this but it is for a KJV–if you don’t use the KJV then that book would be a waste of your money.

Have you thought about investing in the Hebrew-Greek Bible, it has the bible, concordance, and topical word studies, and interesting historical notes.
